WHAT WE DO

The Roaring Cubs Collective (RCC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that was founded on the premise that students of all backgrounds should have the opportunity to engage with their scientific passions and develop foundational research skills during their pre-college years.

Having extensive research backgrounds themselves, RCC co-founders Pranay Talla (Columbia '24) and Karina Leung (Columbia '23) understand the value of mentorship. RCC offers a wide range of virtual programs, beginning with our free STEM Research Scholars Program (SRSP). SRSP strives to help students develop their skills in reading, writing, synthesizing, and presenting scientific literature, as well as offering a chance to network with university researchers as they prepare for their own undergraduate journeys. Alumni of SRSP are eligible to apply for our advanced programs which focus on leadership development, community-based projects, and conducting original research. Our programs are structured to serve students at both the local and global scale.

Blue Personal Objects
“The RCC program provided me with an amazing opportunity to share a topic I am passionate about. Meeting students who share the same motivation allowed me to observe how our paths through high school intersect. This program places a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication with college students who can relate to and support you throughout your high school journey.”

Arlyn Chavez, SRSP Fall 2023
